Wolf Ranch Parkway expansion and eminent domain
The city will widen Wolf Ranch Parkway from SH 29 to Rivery Boulevard, adding lanes, a raised median, turn lanes, a shared-use path, and a roundabout at Memorial Drive. After the Wolf Ranch HOA stopped responding to offers, the council authorized eminent domain 5-1 to acquire the needed land.
SH 29 West widening (IH-35 to Wolf Ranch Parkway)
TxDOT is paying for design while the city puts up $9.5 million in GTEC funds for construction. All right-of-way has been acquired and TxDOT's let date is June 2026, so construction is close to starting.
Austin Avenue Corridor & Downtown Schematic Designs
A TxDOT-managed project from Leander Road to SE Inner Loop, partially funded by GTEC, that has been approved for $10 million in federal STBG money for fiscal year 2030. Design is well along, with 90 percent plans reviewed.
